I concur that star ratings are pointless given the variety of tastes of reviewers.

I also would like to some other rankings besides "Most Viewed Films" - since those rankings will never change. Maybe it could change monthly or weekly.

Perhaps a most viewed over the last week and month, in addition to the most viewed for all time.

That seems wise. The most viewed might also be the best films. But it could have a 'black hole' effect where anyone new to the site sees just those (ie Duck and Cover, Perversion for Profit, technicolor leader countdown), makes the counter go crazy and misses the true gems, many of which are found in "need keyword" and "need meta"! When I first came to the site over a year ago, the star ratings quickly led me to many of the generally entertaining good films, like "Big Delivery Wagon" and "Safe Roads" which my family really enjoyed from a VCD I burned. I like your "Rick's Picks"
list too because it demonstrates the great variety of films here.
After watching hundreds of these films, the star rating isn't as important. But when I first came here, they were some help.
